Jessica Weise is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as VanderCook College of Music with a Masters in Music Education. She has held many positions as a brass technician for competitive marching bands, president/assistant director of Loyola Chicago’s athletic music program, a former worker for the office of outreach programs at VanderCook College of Music, and was a member of the Palatine Community Band. Jessica has studied wind band conducting privately with Dr. Frederick Lowe, a doctorate student from Northwestern University and has worked under several composers such as John Mackey, Robert Sheldon, and Brian Balmages.  In addition to music, Jessica has been the Marketing and Communications Associate of the music program for Loyola’s Fine and Performing Arts Department and the coordinator for VanderCook’s One City program which gives children on the south side of Chicago an opportunity to take music lessons. When not teaching, she’s been exploring Southern Illinois' natural parks, watching the deer in her yard, and enjoying the fresh air. She is beyond excited to join the Hamilton County Unit 10 district.
